Dragonlance: The Heroes of Kyre
Warm spring air blow down from the Kayolin Mountains and on to the City of Kyre. The sounds of hammers, and the sawing of boards greets your ears as you walk down the streets and avenues of this town. Kyre is being rebuilt after its almost total destruction during the War of the Lance. Perched atop a hill, Kyre is a city of concentric roads, each a bit higher on the hill than the last. The city was destroyed when a goblin army burned the town, and not much remained but a few of the stone manor houses in the east of the town, and the old castle on the top of the hill. The raised western part of town now houses an informal encampment of soldiers, merchants, travelers, and workers.
The City of Kyre used to be quite large, but many people were eaten during the war. Its being rebuilt by the dwarves and the Knights of Solamnia, and by some peasants who do the heavy lifting. The City is commanded by Sir Jormund uth Tammo, a heroic Knight of the Sword. He has a sexy young squire named Solomon Star. The city guard is commanded by Captain Foghat, and is patrolled by his spearmen. The Kingdom of Kayolin (also known as Garnet) have an ambassador in the town to facilitate the preparations. His name is Duin Fardelver . Duin also runs the Heroes Hall, where information and drink can be purchased, for a price.
